Privacy policy

The short version

CodexSkins is a static catalog. There are no accounts, no forms and no uploads. Everything you paste into the preview tool is processed in your browser and never leaves it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand which themes and guides are useful — page views, approximate geography, device type, and anonymized interaction patterns. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them in the consent banner; choosing "Reject non-essential" keeps analytics storage disabled (we send cookieless, consent-mode pings only). Clarity loads only after you accept. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Advertising

The site shows no ads today. If we join an advertising program (we may apply to Google AdSense), Google and its partners would use advertising cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve and measure ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Ad personalization can be turned off at Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com), and many vendors can be opted out at aboutads.info/choices. Our consent banner already covers ad storage: nothing advertising-related is stored unless you choose "Accept all". If ads go live, we will list the ad technology providers here.

What we never collect

• Theme strings or colors you paste into the preview tool (client-side only)
• Names, emails or any personal identifiers — unless you email us, in which case we see what you send
• Anything from your AI agent — install prompts run in your agent, not on our servers

Your choices & US state privacy

You can refuse non-essential cookies in the banner, clear the stored choice at any time (site data → clear), and browse with full functionality either way. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) or similar US state laws, and we do not use sensitive personal information. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws can exercise access or deletion requests by emailing us — there is little to access or delete, and we will confirm either way.

Third parties

The site is served by Cloudflare, which may log requests for security and performance. Downloads and theme JSON are static files on our domain. External links (GitHub repositories, upstream theme projects) are governed by their own policies.
