Notes on this palette

Neon Garden is the third of our house originals and the only one built on green-black. The base is forest-dark with a faint green cast, and the light sources are botanical: a mint accent that glows like something bioluminescent, chartreuse strings, and one orchid-pink keyword color playing the single flower in the greenhouse. It's the most decorative of our three originals, tuned to stay usable anyway.

In a dark room the effect is what the name promises — output grows down the window in greens, with the pink surfacing wherever keywords cluster. The legibility work hides underneath: body text is a pale mint-white with strong contrast on the near-black, the comment green recedes properly, and error red was kept warm so it separates from all that foliage at a glance.

It was drawn alongside the Neon Garden skin, whose rainy-glasshouse illustration carries the same #59e3a7 mint, so the pair clicks together into one continuous scene. This is a night theme in the literal sense: under bright daylight the glow flattens into pastel and loses its reason to exist, but at midnight, with the room dark, it's the most alive window on the desk.
